There really are many differences between the successful and less so with web businesses. There are many fantastic examples in the IM world, and Eben Pagan of Double Your Dating fame is one of them. He said that his business did not really take off until he started holding seminars. He taped them and then started using that in his marketing. People look at those who do such things, and then it looks like proof that he was truly an expert and worth listening to. You see, there was a shift in perception when that happened, and people started thinking of him as an authority in that niche.
